Those of you, who have been waiting to see Urmila what she does best, sit tight and get ready for her latest strip act. This time actress has left very little for your imagination. "In Bhoot I have a completely natural look but the results have still been fabulous. While makeup does have its own merits, I wanted to prove that it was not a pre-condition for looking good on screen", she says.

Audiences will see a `nude look` Urmila again in Shreeram Raghvan`s directorial debut Ek Haseena Thi. "I wanted a distinctly girl-next-door image for this film. And when my director suggested that it could be done minus the help of cosmetics, I found myself agreeing with him. I am happy to say that I came out looking far stunning than ever", she gushes.

Veteran lensman Prabuddha Dasgupta admits that making stars look beautiful without layers of makeup is no mean task. "To pull it off, the director and his cameraman need to have an excellent command of their art. But if done well the results can indeed be breathtaking", says Dasgupta whose own minimalist portraits in black and white have drawn critical acclaim.

While Bollywood`s bare-dare act has yet sent the alarm bells ringing among industry professionals, they are not exactly cheering for the idea. According to Mumbai-based makeup artist Cory Walia, Mumbai-based "We appreciate new experiments in the medium since they are an expression of creativity. Although there is no immediate threat to our profession, some areas of concern do exist. I myself lost a lucrative contract a few months back when the director decided to have no makeup for his artistes at all."
